Steve holds a Bachelor in Music Education at Shenandoah Conservatory of Music in Winchester, Virginia, and a Master of Arts in Music from California State University, Sacramento. 

Russo is a freelance trumpet player in San Francisco Bay Area & Sacramento. Here are some of the bands Russo works with:  Grupo Bakkan, Orquesta Borinquen, Pacific Mambo Orchestra, Sapo Guapo, Ernie Small Big Band, and Sacamento Jazz Orchestra. Music Education - Russo has taught music in public schools, and at the college level, for the past 25 years. Past director of the American River College Jazz Ensemble, and the Sacramento City College Symphonic Band. Special guest artists that have performed with these bands include; Bob Mintzer, Randy Brecker, and John Fedchock.
